Deadline for your food choices is 31st October. I am happy to take payment on the night however if you fail to turn up you will still be charged.

At the dinner each year we also present awards. This year we are handing over the voting to you, the members. The committee have put together a short list, that said there are many worthy people out there within the club and if you have a different nomination we would be happy to receive your vote.

The nominations for this year are as follows:

Young Member

1. Robert Elliott - Robert is always willing to lend a hand and there is nothing he won't do, sometimes even with a smile on his face (!), he has been a valued young member for many years.

2. Ryan Chalk - Ryan is joint Trade & Craft Marshal which is a much needed job at the rally and not always an easy job. He has carried out this role for some years now and will soon not be eligible for this category!

3. Henry Shute - Henry is one of the clubs youngest members. This year his contribution to the rally as junior tractor marshal proved very helpful role, a role he took very seriously.

Most Enterprising Member

1. Alan Luscombe - Alan is again a very valued member of the clubs committee. This year he took on the role as social secretary and has organised some very interesting speakers and trips out for the club.

2. Kate Shute - A little difficult to write this one ! I am the club secretary and have been for the past 7 years. I have been happy to see the club move forward over the years.

3. Ian Castle - Some people may not know Ian as he every understated (!) Ian works tirelessly at the rally helping ensure that the ever famous toilets are fully functional and we have power on site.

Most Enthusiastic

1. Sara-Jane Baker - SJ has most recently acted as the clubs Trade & Craft Marshal but has held a role in the club for many years. She is extremely organised when she is undertaking her current role which is often not very easy and she always does it with a smile on her face.

2. Rob Baker - Rob is always enthusiastic with what ever job he undertakes for the club, always a very willing pair of hands and never minds mucking in.

3. Christine Collins - Christine has recently moved roles within the club from membership secretary to the very important role of club treasurer, which she has taken in her stride getting on top of the clubs finances very quickly.

4. Nick Arundell (Arry) - The clubs Vice Chairman always ready to lend a hand and support the chairman in his role, again a very valued member of the club committee.

If you would like to vote for one of the above or indeed any other worthy member (they do have to be fully paid up members) please let me have your nominations by Tuesday 7th October 2017.

You can vote by emailing me back or there will be voting slips at the social meeting on Monday 6th October at Moreleigh Village Hall.

I look forward to hearing from you.
